Ragusa, Federico Bennardo selected for “young elected politicians programme”

Ragusa – Evidently the confines of the hall of the Palazzo di Città di Ragusa are narrow for Federico Bennardo, ‘dissident’ councilor of the majority in support of mayor Cassì, who since taking office last year has preferred to play his cards on various tables in waiting for takeoff. And now it can be said that Bennardo has flown high as he has been selected to participate in the ‘Young elected politicians programme’. He himself explains what it is.

“An honor for me to have been selected to participate in the “Young Elected Politicians program (YEPs)”, a network of young people elected for a local or regional mandate in a member country of the European Union, under 35 years of age, in order to share and promote ‘best practices’, bring the opportunities that Europe offers closer to local realities and take part in plenary sessions or thematic meetings for training purposes”.

Federico Bennardo. adds: “The program was first launched by the European Committee of the Regions in 2019 and has since grown in size and scope, becoming an integral part of it. Often the problems experienced by young people cut across member states and I am sure that this occasion will help, through continuous discussion between participants, to find common solutions. Europe, most of the time, feels distant from us citizens and this opportunity will certainly provide the opportunity to bridge this distance”. (dice)
