Livorno 2024 municipal elections: candidates, lists, programs

On Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 June the citizens of Livorno return to vote to elect the new mayor. Five years after the victory of Luca Salvetti, who prevailed in the run-off against the right-wing candidate, Andrea Romiti, with 63.3% of the preferences, the people of Livorno will go to the polls again: voting will take place from 3pm to 11pm Saturday 8 June and from 7am to 11pm on Sunday 9 June. The count and counting for the local elections will take place starting from 2pm on Monday 10 June.

This time there will be six candidates for mayor, four men and two women, competing to enter the main door of the civic building. For a total of 19 supporting lists. The various programs were mostly presented and, of course, the lists were handed out. In addition to the outgoing mayor Luca Salvetti, candidate of the centre-left led by the Democratic Party, in the running will be Valentina Barale (candidate of the radical and movement left), Costanza Vaccaro (Popular Alternative), Lorenzo Cosimi (Italian Communist Party), Alessandro Guarducci (centre-right) and Giovanni Pezone (Tuscany Rebirth, DC, Animalist Party).
