art and workshops to support fragility

How do you respond to fragility and loneliness? With creativity, art. It is the belief that moves the Tantemani project of the social cooperative Patronato San Vincenzo which, as is now tradition, inaugurates the summer season with Baleno Festival, «five days of celebration which – comments coordinator Davide Pansera – are an opportunity to meet the population, show what has been done during the year, transform from users of services to promoters of activities and reflections for the city». The sixth edition of the event is scheduled from 5 to 9 June at the Ermanno Olmi park in Malpensata«a complex but socially and culturally stimulating neighborhood», continues Pansera.

If the first two days will be reserved for groups of people with fragility, from 7pm on 7 June, the event will open free of charge to everyone with the inauguration of the exhibition dedicated to the covers of the «Uppa» magazine. Saturday and Sunday open to many laboratories which enliven the daily lives of Tantemani’s guests (you can make ravioli but also create special portraits or “bouquets”) but also those proposed for the occasion by four artists: Sophie Hames, Vittoria Drago, Susanna Alberti, Sara Antonazzo.

The latter is a novelty which «testifies – underlines the councilor for social policies Marcella Messina – Baleno’s ability to reinvent itself and always build new opportunities.” And precisely because «the festival – recalls the Councilor for Culture Nadia Ghisalberti – is aimed at the entire population”, this year too there will be no shortage of music, “performances”, “workshops”, screenings, yoga and the usual “market area proposed by Uau Festival with over 30 illustrators from all over the world”, anticipates the director Andrea Arnoldi.
