REGGIO EMILIA – Traffic in the Campovolo area will undergo changes for the Ac/Dc concert starting from Friday evening, the day before the event. There is news regarding Gavassa as specified by the local police commander Stefano Poma this morning at Buongiorno Reggio. “Via dell’Aeronautica will be closed from 10pm on Friday and exit 3 of the ring road will be closed in both directions.”

The road network in the Campovolo area therefore changes for the Ac/Dc concert on Saturday which will bring over 100 thousand people to the city. As usual, the area of via dell’Aeronautica will be a “red zone”, from the roundabout of via Caduti delle Reggiane to that of viale Ramazzini. Via Montagnani Marelli is also closed, with the exception of residents, heading to the car parks with passes and emergency vehicles. “We start on Friday evening because this year in front of the Tecnopolo and in warehouse 18 there will be the ‘Reggiane village’ to welcome the fans who arrive early,” explained Poma.

A part of the Santa Croce neighborhood will also be closed to traffic and for the first time also the hamlet of Gavassa. “The works in via Adua will be suspended and we will stop the cars from via Bligny, making them go towards Piazzale Europa. Furthermore, we have decided to make Gavassa accessible only to residents and those who need to access the activities, from the roundabout in via Lenin”.

Part of via del Chionso and via Agosti will be pedestrianised: “Pedestrianisation will begin in via del Chionso from via Taddei to allow those who have parked to get to the arena and via Agosti to serve the station and those coming from the centre”. Normal circulation will be restored when the outflow of pedestrians and vehicles leaving the car parks has ended after the concert, presumably around 4am on Sunday morning.
