Olbia. Weekend with the feast of Our Lady of Cabu Abbas

OLBIA. Everything is ready for the feast of Our Lady of Cabu Abbas scheduled for next weekend, Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th May.

This edition is also organized by the Cabu Abbas celebration committee, headed by the historic president Mario Spano Pupo, with the patronage of the municipality of Olbia. Religious and secular events are planned, and the inevitable “Olbiese” sandwiches with octopus. Below is the program ⬇️

Saturday 25 May

• 4.00 pm – collection of the flags, starting from Antonio Curreli’s house, in via Giudice Lamberto Visconti, n. 8 (San Nicola area), to continue in procession to the church, built in honor of Our Lady of Cabu Abbas
• 6.00 pm – vespers, officiated by Don Gianni Satta. A reception with desserts and drinks will follow
• 8.00 pm – dinner based on mussels marinara and sandwiches with octopus, all washed down with good red wine. Dancing evening with Festival Bar Band

Sunday 26 May

• 11.30 am – Holy Mass, officiated by Don Gianni Satta. Followed by the procession accompanied by the Felicino Mibelli musical band from Olbia and the 40th “Pinuccio Degortes” mussel festival
• 1.30pm – lunch of gnocchi with sauce and mussels marinara style
• 6.00 pm – dancing evening with “Il volo” and snack with octopus sandwiches (or cured meats)
