On the occasion of the vernissage, some hospitality will be provided which add aromas and sensations to the theme of food: Stefano Messina performing poet of the Milanese scene who will propose a reading inspired by the exhibition.
The chef Antonio Marangia star of national gastronomy appreciated throughout the world and protagonist in important gastronomic events, will delight the palates of those present with one of his creations.

Marzia RizzoThis is how Milanese popularizer and artistic curator presents the exhibition
“Although they differ in style, the choice of figurative art and an inclination for graphics unite the two artists. Vittoriano Ferioli uses food and kitchen utensils, giving them a soul, a temperament, a character by placing them in familiar environments.
The objects seem to dance in space, still lifes in axonometry, vibrant, with spots of color that suggest food imprints on the tablecloth.
The cheerful chaos is enveloped in domestic light.
Irene Lenzi uses the detail of dishes following the example of Domenico Gnoli, to enhance the beauty of detail and formal balance.
Popcorn, gummy sweets and pasta with sauce, food becomes a symbol of our era, tracing the daily passage and documenting modern consumer culture, without slipping into the grotesque, but maintaining a balance of forms.”

Vittoriano Ferioli instead gives us his… News from the colander
“Lately I call them ‘domestic landscapes’, they are moments of life told through the representation of some objects that we encounter every day at home or in the supermarket, but there is no search for composition like Cézanne or the seventeenth-century realism of Louise Moillon, my landscapes have nothing to do with the well-known still lifes. If anything, they are decomposed natures as in Matisse.
Then my landscapes are not so dead because they speak, the writing is part of the Work whether it is just a writing on a label or a sound invasion coming from a radio, the word is part of the picture. Writings, brands, titles or signs surround us today much more than in the last two centuries.

Today we live in landscapes full of written and widespread words. And the writings can be extremely normal such as indicating a box of pasta, but they can tell of a love story that has ended or be news that invades the house, and tells of the police charge on the procession of students in the presence of a colander and the sauce for the rigatoni.

Yes, at the moment I like to tell stories through domestic objects and walls, but I think it is clear to everyone that the domestic is now a very broad landscape, all you need is a mobile phone in your pocket, or a computer on the kitchen table and you are connected to millions of stories.”

The Atelier is open occasionally, mainly in the afternoon from 3.30 pm. During the exhibitions, on Saturdays and Sundays the openings are more regular but to be sure of the meeting it is better to call:
