The active delegates of the meeting were convened FP Cgil of Luccaoperating in the sectors of social cooperatives, social welfare, environmental hygiene, also open to all interested workers and to anyone who wants to put their signature to the 4 referendum questions on work, which will be held on May 24th at the headquarters of CGIL of Lucca in viale Luporini 1115, in the large room, at 3pm.
“As workers employed in most of the contracts – we read in a note -, It is our duty to support the CGIL referendum campaign to defend the most vulnerable groups of employed workers. The laws we intend to repeal are those that make our employment relationship more precarious. Everyone’s commitment and signature is essential to support the referendums. Today, as working men and women, we face a crucial opportunity to defend workers’ rights, an opportunity that we cannot ignore. The referendum promoted by the CGIL is a cry of alarm against policies that undermine the very foundations of our social system”.
“The attack on workers’ rights, the precarization of work, and growing inequality are the result of choices that favor the few to the detriment of the many – continues the note -. The time has come to stand up and say enough is enough. We must defend the dignity of work and solidarity between citizens. The CGIL has filed 4 referendum questions in the Court of Cassation: two against illegitimate dismissals (to cancel the Jobs Act and prevent easy illegitimate dismissals even in companies with fewer than 15 employees), one against the liberalization of fixed-term contracts and another on safety in contract work”.
