The appointment is for Thursday, from 9 in the morning, when the courtyard of the Rocca will be transformed into a vegetable market and will welcome around 300 pupils from nine schools in the Forlì district with their teachers. Along the walkways of the fortress, however, various educational activities will alternate. These activities will be taken care of by the kids from the “Pellegrino Artusi” hotel institute in Forlimpopoli, coordinated by Slow Food trainers Micaela Mazzoli and Matteo Monti, with whom they have prepared a training course to learn about Slow Food, the concept of Good, Clean and Fair , biodiversity and teaching methodology techniques for explaining the journey to the “little ones”.

Started in the 2009/2010 school year, the “Orto in Condotta” project has grown year after year and in this school year has attracted the participation of 15 schools from Forlimpopoli, Forlì, Bertinoro, Santa Sofia, Predappio and Castrocaro Spa involving over 900 children who cultivated their school gardens. The objective of the project is to bring children closer to the earth in a concrete and stimulating way to help them learn the principles of biodiversity and seasonality, respect for nature and all living creatures.

“Orto in Condotta” was possible thanks to the contribution of the Rotary Club Forlì-Tre Valli and Romagna Acque, the collaboration of the Municipality of Forlimpopoli which as always hosts the final event and the precious help of the Civil Protection of Forlimpopoli.
