During the night between Friday and Saturday, in the industrial area of Bolzano, the patrols of the Bolzano Traffic Police, with the help of a patrol from the Bolzano Police Headquarters and a doctor from the State Police on board a special Mobile Office, checked 21 vehicles and 31 people. All drivers were subjected to a breathalyzer test to check for alcohol impairment and some also underwent a salivary swab test to check for narcotic substances. The checks made it possible to discover three drivers in a state of alcoholic intoxication, with a blood alcohol level not exceeding 0.8 g/whose administrative fine was imposed from 543 to 2,170 Euros, with a reduction of 10 points on the driving licence, and a driver under the influence of drugs. Subject who was also reported to the Bolzano Public Prosecutor’s Office and who risks, if convicted, a fine of 1,500 to 6,000 Euros and a prison sentence of 6 months to 1 year. All drivers had their driving licenses immediately withdrawn.
