A dialogue to define the basis of a relationship between public institutions, on the one hand the Municipality of Reggio and on the other i professionals who together can resolve critical issues and work on programming. The municipal administration opened the doors of the Council Hall of Palazzo San Giorgio to the representatives of the Professional orders of the province of Reggio. The councilors Elisa Zoccali and Paolo Malara, the manager of the Urban Planning sector Marco Di Donna, the sector official Alberto Di Mare met Ilario Tassone, president of the Order of Architects, the president Francesco Foti of the Order of Engineers and his deputy, Domenico Sapia , Antonino Sgrò, president of the Order of Agronomists, the president Pasquale Pizzimenti of the Order of Industrial Experts together with the treasurer Giuseppe Scrivo, Giuseppe Baronetto, delegate councilor of the Order of Surveyors.
Already in 2020, only three of the orders had established a technical advisory committee for the municipal administration, a sort of technical support. A collaboration that is expanding today, embracing other orders. A first meeting that establishes a relationship of continuity for the speeding up of processes within a perimeter of collaborative legitimacy between the institutions: the common objective is to network to intervene in an incisive and effective manner. If Reggio becomes a virtuous municipality, which manages to channel the synergies of orders and provide responses, it will be able to become a reference and example for all the other municipalities in the metropolitan city area.
The interventions of the Councillors
The two representatives of the Executive, Zoccali and Malara, highlighted that the connection with the orders is a wide-ranging vision, with a view to an integrated, complementary and systemised experimental project which sees the convergence of the two departments. The Orders will be the bearers of the network that must be created to share interpretative directions, to build a new model.
For the Administrators it is important that the Orders are presented at the table together, to represent a summary of the objectives being worked on. Therefore different institutions that have common areas: quality of projects, ethical plans and professional correctness. The starting point of the work will be Municipal structural plan with the desire to implement it in the best possible way, to produce a system that results in the quality of the city.
