Yesterday, June 2nd, the Italian holiday. The celebration of those founding values expressed by the Constitution.
The students of Salerno schools were the protagonists of the demonstration which took place yesterday morning in Piazza Amendola. At the center of the celebrations were the students of the city’s schools who participated in the project, promoted by the Prefecture of Salerno, “Let’s live the Constitution”. During the year, a series of meetings were organized with secondary school students, during which articles and principles of our Constitution were explored in depth as part of an open dialogue between the children and the Prefect.

The students of the “Sabatini Menna” art high school staged a flash mob on the Italian tricolour; the students of the “Roberto Virtuoso” state hotel professional institute interpreted our founding fathers, reviving the debate carried out within the work of the Constituent Assembly on articles 1, 3 and 9; the students of the “Francesco De Sanctis” state classical and scientific high school exhibited and illustrated the panels, created by the students, which depict some articles of our Constitution.
Also present were the young students of the “Rita Levi–Montalcini” State Comprehensive Institute with a piece dedicated to the Constitution, written by them. The wind orchestra of the “Teresa Confalonieri” Institute of Higher Education in Campagna, directed by maestro Luciano Marchetta, will cheer up the event.
The celebrations then continued at the “Teatro Verdi” in Salerno, where the Prefect presented the honors “to the merit of the Italian Republic”, granted by the President of the Republic to citizens of the province. The Gibboni family performed for the occasion.
