L’AQUILA – It will be a weekend of 25 and 26 May at the Preturo Parks Airport on the occasion of the event, with free entry, “L’Aquila Airshow 2024”. Two days of aerial evolutions, exhibitions, model aircraft and with the heart of the initiative centered on the performance of the National Acrobatic Team “Frecce tricolori” as protagonists, starting from 5pm, both on Saturday – for general rehearsals – and on on Sunday with a performance that had been missing in the Abruzzo capital for 27 years.
The program was illustrated this morning during a press conference by the mayor of L’Aquila, Pierluigi Biondiby the councilors for Mobility and Tourism, respectively Paola Giuliani and Ersilia Lanciathe municipal councilor with responsibility for airport activitiesLivio Vittoriniwho personally took care of relations with the Air Force for the organization of the event and its promotion, by Ezio Sarti, president of the Gran Sasso d’Italia Aeroclub – Organizing body, and by Simone Silveri, operational director of the Parks Airport.
The program, valid for both days, is as follows: 8:00 am, opening of the fair area to the public; 10:00 am, opening of Jet and Propeller model aircraft activities; 11:00 am, opening of aerobatic display – Exhibition of participating aircraft: Piaggio P166, Boeing Stearman 75, Murdy CAP 10, Extra 330, Sukhoi 31 M, Cessna L19 Bird dog, Pitts S2B, Yak52, Soko G2 Galeb, Aermacchi MB326, Formation G .46/Falchi, Charlie 26 Patrol, Fly Team Patrol, G46 Patrol. 1.00 pm, closing of the first part of the acrobatic display; 1.15 pm, model aircraft activities; 3.15 pm, reopening of the aerobatic display of military planes and helicopters, passages, exhibitions, static display: S64 Skycrane Fire Brigade, AW 139 Air Force, AW Guardia di Finanza, Aw139 Fire Brigade, Atr42 Coast Guard, n.2 F2000 Eurofighter . 5.00 pm, performance by the National Acrobatic Team “Frecce Tricolori”; 6.00pm, end of the event. Furthermore, the Municipality of L’Aquila and the L’Aquila Mobility Company have set up a free shuttle bus service to reach the event where citizens and enthusiasts will be able to park their vehicles in specially identified parking areas.

SHUTTLE TIMES – The service provides a departure every 30 minutes from the car park of the L’Aquilone shopping center (departure terminus) with the following times: morning – first departure: 10:00 – last departure 2:00 pm; afternoon – first departure 3.00pm – last departure 7.30pm. The service will be carried out with three buses in the morning and three buses in the afternoon.
