With the Trenitalia Summer Experience, starting from 9 June, new connections to summer tourist destinations, mountains and cities of art are arriving in Tuscany. More intermodal and digital services for the benefit of travellers, to move in an increasingly comfortable and sustainable way. The novelties of the summer season were presented today in Rome by Luigi Corradi, CEO and General Manager of Trenitalia.

The Trenitalia Summer Experience that we are presenting today allows us to offer a unique model of excellence, thanks to thousands of trains and buses that move millions of people every day”, stated Stefano Cuzzilla, President of Trenitalia.

With Frecce from Tuscany to the sea and the mountains
With the new summer timetable the night Frecciarossa will connect Tuscany to the Tyrrhenian coast up to Reggio Calabria, making it possible to arrive at your destination early in the morning.
Not just business, the Frecce leisure destinations
With the new summer timetable, thanks to the Frecce it will also be possible to reach seaside and mountain destinations. The Frecciarossa offer for Cilento has been strengthened, with 2 additional connections on Friday, Saturday and Sunday which extend their route to Sapri, also stopping in Florence SMN, and which are added to the other 2 daily Frecciarossa connections which connect Florence to the main Cilento locations .
Among the seaside destinations is Orbetello-Monte Argentario where the Frecce return to service for the summer period. Furthermore, many destinations can be reached with FrecciaLink, such as, for example, Sorrento, the Gargano, Piombino, Cecina and, new compared to previous years, Acciaroli, Pioppi, Casal Velino Marina, S. Maria and S. Marco di Castellabate nel Cilento.
For those who prefer the mountains, 10 Frecciarossa trains will be available per day between Rome, Florence and Bologna with departure and arrival in Trento and Bolzano. With FrecciaLink the most beautiful mountain locations in the Alps will be even closer from Florence: Val Gardena, Val di Fassa, Val di Fiemme, Cortina d’Ampezzo, Cadore, Madonna di Campiglio, Pinzolo, Courmayeur and Aosta.

For those who want to go abroad, the following can be reached by train from Florence: Vienna, Salzburg and Munich.
The capillarity of the Regional in Tuscany
Regional Trenitalia also confirms its capillarity in Tuscany with a rich offer of destinations, intermodal solutions and Line tourist trains.
The novelty of the summer will be the intermodal connection “Argentario Link” which will allow you to travel by train to Orbetello-Monte Argentario and then continue by bus to Porto Santo Stefano, having purchased the train+bus ticket in a single solution.
Argentario Link adds to the train+bus connections already active for the towns of Montepulciano, SanGimignano center and Cortona centre.
The Etruscan Line train has also been confirmed to reach the seaside resorts from Pisa along the Tuscan coast to Grosseto, with stops in the main locations including: Castiglioncello, Cecina, San Vincenzo, Campiglia Marittima and Follonica.
Thanks to Elba Link, once you arrive in Piombino by train, you can continue your journey by ship, with the ticket purchased in a single solution on the Trenitalia channels, towards the ports of the Island of Elba: Portoferraio, Cavo and Rio Marina.
Furthermore, until September 1st it will be possible to reach the Cinque Terre directly from Arezzo and Valdarno, with the pair of trains active on holidays between Arezzo and Sestri Levante.
To allow live music fans to reach concerts in a sustainable and comfortable way, Regionale di Trenitalia will enhance services for the Lucca Summer Festival, Antonello Venditti’s concert on 13 July in Pistoia, the Musart Festival Florence, which will take place at the Park Mediceo di Pratolino there will be extraordinary trains from Vaglia to Florence Campo Marte for the shows of: Pink Floyd Legend, Roberto Vecchioni, Loreena McKennitt, Il Volo, I Pooh and CCCP.

New itineraries for Italian Tourist Trains
The summer season of FS Treni Turistici Italiani begins.
