The funeral office has published the ordinances relating to the exhumation from the burial niches of the suburban cemeteries of Vicenza, whose concessions expired in 2019 and 2020, for the deceased between 1 January 1979 and 31 December 1980. The cemeteries involved are those of Maddalene , Polegge, Casale, Longara, Setteca’, Bertesina.
The relatives of the deceased can request, upon application and payment of the relevant fees, the cremation of the bone remains, the placement in a family tomb or ossuary, or the transfer to another cemetery.
In the event of disinterest or unavailability on the part of the family members (or those entitled to do so), from 15 November the Municipality will proceed automatically with the exhumation, as provided for by the Municipal Regulations of funeral and cemetery services. In this case, the photos and accessories will be removed and disposed of, while the bone remains will be placed in the common ossuary.
