The stolen phone rings: the State Police – Brescia Police Headquarters responds

A normal initiative check carried out yesterday afternoon by a State Police crew on patrol duty led to an unexpected discovery: the phone of one of the three stopped subjects started ringing and, answering the call, the officers discovered that it was a stolen phone.

The operation took place between Via Solferino and Viale della Stazione, near the bus station, where the officers stopped three young suspects for a routine check.

The four immediately showed impatience and agitation, a circumstance which led the police to verify the origin of some goods that the young people had with them.

In particular, when asked to account for the possession of a smartphone of considerable value, the aforementioned individuals provided contradictory answers and at that very moment the phone began to ring, causing further agitation in the controlled subjects.

Suspicious, the officers responded and, on the other end of the phone, a friend of the legitimate owner showed up, with the aim of tracing the device to understand if it had been lost or stolen.

Immediate investigations made it possible to identify the legitimate owner of the phone and, once the complaint was filed, the three young people, including a minor, were reported for receiving stolen goods in competition.
