The final result of 42 to 17 leaves a bitter taste in the mouth for having concluded the journey with a defeat, but many lights have been seen this season, above all for the character shown in many matches and for the young age of many players who they are well behaved in their first year in Seniors.
“Unfortunately we weren’t able to end the season as we would have liked, that is with a victory – Head Coach Andrea Musazzi tells us regretfully. However, I congratulated the boys on the season that just ended: the debut for the very young people in a Senior category was not easy, first of all. I also believe that in rugby what matters is earning the respect of the opponent on the field: in the many Sunday battles we achieved this and the boys gave it their all, standing up to all their opponents in a very long season and playing it every Sunday, although often in less than optimal physical conditions due to some injuries we have suffered. I wish these guys the best of luck for their sporting future, they deserve it.”
The victory of the under 18s
A beautiful match was played on Sunday by the Under 18s, who deservedly won against Monferrato in Asti against a tough opponent, who never left the Gallettis with the feeling of having finished the match. Final result: 0 – 26 for our young rossoblù.
“As for the match – declares Head Coach Demis Banfi. The result was fully in our favor but the match was more difficult than the result shows. The boys faced the challenge in the best way, with the right concentration, trying to concede very little to Monferrato who played an excellent match and who I consider one of the best teams we have faced this year. If we hadn’t played the match with the right mentality they would certainly have put us in difficulty, so much so that we were never calm and we went to football between the posts more than usual because there was always the feeling that Monferrato could get back into the game. game at any time. Congratulations indeed to our opponents, but above all to our boys who really showed great maturity in managing the match. This victory allows us to face the last day next Sunday at home with Calvisano to play for first place in Elite 2, a sort of “final”: I am sure that the Galletti will give everything, as they have done throughout this season.”

On Saturday, Parabiago Under 14 Rugby was also on the pitch and met the hosts, Rovato/Centurioni, Velate and Pirati/Treviglio in the “Città di Monza” Trophy.
“The Monza tournament was the last seasonal outing for our boys – Head Coach Marco Mainardi tells us. We are very satisfied with the growth of the group in this journey which has seen the boys deal with the transition from minirugby to junior rugby. A year which, as a staff, we consider truly positive: we salute the 2010s who will make the leap to Under 16 next year, wishing them to continue to have fun and grow sportingly and humanly. And we will continue to work with the 2011 team, who will see the greats of the current Under 12 team return as teammates. I thank Angelo, Andreas, Matt, Juan and all the companions for the work done this year. Next season will also be a great challenge for everyone.”
