The fourth edition of the “Justice Festival” was held in Rome, at the headquarters of the National Council of Economy and Labour, an event organized by the Italian Association of Young Lawyers in collaboration with “4cLegal” and “Il Sole 24 Ore ” as media partner, with the participation of over 100 participants in person and over 600 remotely. The title of the Festival for the year 2024 was “A “Constituent Assembly” for the Lawyers?, a highly topical topic in the face of the discussion on the reforms of the constitutional system, from the strong premiership to the reforms of the judicial system (separation of careers and Superior Council of the Judiciary) up to differentiated autonomy.

The Festival was opened by greetings from the National President of the Aiga Carlo Foglieni and the Cnel Councilor Francesco Riva, who confirmed that the Cnel continues the dialogue with the professional orders and that the body is open to accepting the proposals of the Aiga , also using the power of legislative initiative at its disposal. Speaking at the event were the Minister of Justice, Carlo Nordio, who, in his message, renewed the promise to the audience of young lawyers that in the new reform the dignity of the figure of the lawyer will enter the Constitution and the deputy minister Francesco Paolo Sisto who, on the topic of the separation of careers, he reiterated the need for the Judge to be third and impartial.

During the morning, the former Minister of Justice and President of the Constitutional Court Giovanni Maria Flick held a lectio magistralis on the topics of environmental and social sustainability and new technologies. During the event, the various speakers, teachers, political representatives, lawyers, representatives of companies and public administrations, who participated in the 4 round tables, analyzed how the figure of the lawyer is undergoing a change thanks to the ecological and technological transition. The Forli – Cesena section of Aiga was also present at this event with the lawyer Diego Franchini, member of the National Aiga Department for Professional Aggregations.
