FORLI’. On Monday 27 May at 9.00 pm at the former Mazzini cinema (corso della Repubblica 88, Forlì) the Catholic world will hold one of the few debates between the mayoral candidates in the next local elections in which the city of Forlì will be able to participate. On the occasion of the next municipal administrative elections, the Diocesan Councils of Lay Aggregations (CDAL) and the Councils of Social Welfare Organizations (COSA) together with the Social and Labor Pastoral Office have chosen to propose to the citizens an evening focused on listening, that is, a moment in which the mayoral candidates will be called to listen to what the Catholic world has to say regarding issues such as work, development, sustainability and urban regeneration, education, family, welfare and life.

The mayoral candidates will therefore find themselves listening to thematic interventions by Catholic organizations such as Catholic Action, Comunione Liberazione, Agesci, Caritas, ACLI, Agesc, CIF, Rinnovamento nel Spirito, UCIIM, Montepaolo Prayer Group – just to name a few – which will be testimonies, experiences of the territory and also direct questions, to then return to those present their considerations, proposals for commitment and the city’s vision.

«So», say the organizers, «not an evening in which we want to “simply” try to understand who we want to vote for, but an important moment in which the Catholic world will express itself, confirming its willingness to be there and collaborate, whatever the the outcome of the administrative elections underlining that the commitment of Catholics in society goes beyond any political affiliation, turning towards the common good that we continuously want to pursue together.”

The evening will be moderated by Paolo Venturi, director of AICCON. Participation is free and without reservation.
