The new railway structure is called Trenitalia Summer Experience 2024 which includes, among other things, two more connections between Milan and Pescara
With the new summer timetable, Frecciarossa stays up late: on the days of greatest demand between Milan and Reggio Calabria and Milan and Lecce, two night trips are scheduled. Lombardy is among the main protagonists of the Cento Frecce: the Milan-Rome has 9 trains that take less than 3 hours to travel between the two cities.
There are 8 connections per day between Milan and Reggio Calabria and over 30 daily Frecciarossa connections between Milan, Venice, Turin, Bologna and the Adriatic coast, including 2 more daily Frecce connections between Milan and Pescara.
Connections between Milan and Turin are also increasing with 2 new evening Frecciarossa trains departing from Turin Porta Nuova at 10pm and arriving at Milano Centrale at 11pm and the reverse route between 9.50pm and 10.50pm.
Intercity trains are also increasing with the extension of one connection per day on the Bologna-Bari and Bologna-Lecce route to Milan, while for those traveling abroad there are the EuroCity trains between Milan, Zurich, Lugano and Basel and the Euronight trains between Milan, Brescia and Pavia and Austria and Germany.
