The “Festival of Plural Thought” is back between cinema, eros and music

‘Cinema and Eros’, ‘Feminine love’ and ‘Music and Eros’. The next three events of the “Festival of Plural Thought” have decidedly suggestive titles, born on the initiative of Professor Giancarlo Galeazzi, which today has Professor Antonio Luccarini as artistic director. The three meetings will take place at the Faculty of Economics of the Polytechnic University of Marche (Room T 11, 5.15 pm). This year we talk about ‘Paths of love’, to underline the plurality of approaches and forms that characterize the reflection on this feeling. Luccarini underlines the desire to “promote a lively relationship between the city and the festival, which is open to all: in 27 years Ancona has shown that it appreciates this cultural offer, which is accessible and at the same time qualified”.

We therefore begin today with Luccarini (in the photo), who will talk about ‘Cinema and Eros’, focusing on the contrast between marital love and hedonistic eros present in great masterpieces of the history of cinema, from ‘The Birds’ by Hitchcock to ‘ Picnic at Hanging Rock’ by Weir. Tomorrow the philosopher Patrizia Caporossi will be the protagonist of the meeting ‘Feminine love’, of which she will highlight the specificity. On Thursday for ‘Musica ed Eros’ Luccarini will be joined by Gianmario Strappati, professor at the ‘Verdi’ Conservatory in Ravenna, who will perform pieces of contemporary literature for bass tuba and piano dedicated to himself. The pages of music will be linked to the feelings of love (jealousy, melancholy, passion, harmony).
