The students of the De Amicis-Manzoni comprehensive institute in Massafra achieved an exceptional triumph, taking first place at the twenty-fourth edition of the “LAMS Prize” in Matera, a renowned international festival/contest for young musicians.

Conducted by maestro Domenico Nisi, the orchestra and choir masterfully performed pieces taken from Rossini’s opera “Il Barbiere di Siviglia”.

The competition, held at the Gervasio auditorium in Matera, saw the participation of numerous schools from all over Italy, testing the artistic and musical skills of the young participants.

The head teacher, Professor Rosa Favale, underlined the commitment and passion of the children, proudly stating that this victory is the result of teamwork.
