The Centrale del Latte of Alessandria and Asti must be saved. And now there is an online petition to find a group of entrepreneurs who are committed.
The petition on Change.org was launched by Raffaele Benedetto, Flai Cgil trade unionist, after the news of the company’s liquidation: “We don’t want to lose our jobs and a quality product. Centrale del Latte di Alessandria, founded in 1931, is a fundamental part of our community and our history. The closure of the company would not only put numerous jobs at risk, but would also deprive us of a local product that has always guaranteed freshness and quality.”
And, in the petition, he adds: “We ask that a group of Alexandrian entrepreneurs join the company to save this historical reality. It is essential to preserve local traditions and support the economy of our area.”
Alessandria is experiencing moments of confusion following the cessation of activity. Bars and restaurants must quickly find new suppliers. In the meantime, the products continue to be shared on social media with the hashtag #salviamolacentraledellatte.
