To present it he chooses the path of brevitas. A few words, expressed to describe those who have chosen to join the list that bears his name. Mayor Alan Fabbri starts on time and chooses Café Bacchelli to launch “his” civic. A few meters from the entrance to the Urban park which has become – like the Coletta for Gad – one of the symbolic places of the administrative action of the outgoing council. Next to him, the list leader Marco Gulinelli (Councillor for Culture, outgoing) who presented his candidacy to the City Council, symbolically a few days ago, a year after Bruce Springsteen’s concert. In his buttonhole he wears a yellow-blue cockade, the colors of the mayor’s electoral campaign. “Vote Alan Fabbri”. Political communication also passes through symbols. The only one allowed is the “brand” of the mayor. Because “the civic body that supports me is made up of people who have different, transversal sensitivities: it is not a political list”. It might seem like a way to distance itself from party connotation, but in reality it is the plastic demonstration of a desire declared on several occasions: to be “everyone’s mayor”. The lowest common denominator of the candidates is that “everyone has chosen to show their face”. Therefore the mayor’s civic – expectations are measured by the quantity of holy cards present on the tables – will, says Fabbri, “have a fundamental role in the construction of the city government for the next five years”. Precisely thanks to people “who have not bowed to certain typical logics of the left”. “These are – continues the mayor – a series of people united by the desire to do well for the city. There are professionals, lawyers, entrepreneurs, students, pensioners. In short, a very varied group of people”. In truth, if you look closely, there is another common denominator, compared to the League’s list: both have two outgoing councilors re-nominated for the City Council. In the case of the civic body, in addition to Gulinelli, it is the owner of Productive Activities and Heritage, Angela Travagli.

There are three outgoing councilors on the list: Francesco Carità (current group leader of Ferrara Cambia), Francesca Savini (current group leader of Ferrara Nostra) and Luca Caprini. After his experience in the City Council in the previous council and his candidacy for mayor in 2019, the face of Gol Francesco Rendine reappears. The youngest on the list is 19 years old and still in high school: Brando Sarto, from the classic Ariosto. You can find the others here: Eleonora Bernasconi, Fabiano Campi, Riccardo Castaldini, Sara Chiarelli, Eleonora Costa, Stefano Duo, Silvia Fabbri, Matteo Faccini, Riccardo Finetti, Alice Formignani, Paolo Frondella, Giacomo Gelmi, Patrizio Girotto, Valentina Loredana Ionita, Ben Kulli, Cinzia Magri, Massimo Mammolenti, Anna Maranini, Elisabetta Moscheni, Federico Orlandi, Aurora Prencipe, Mauro Sangiovanni, Stefano Vita Finzi Zalman, Milena Zaggia and Amos Zerbini.
