A stray bullet hit the head of a little boy in Materdei in Naples while he was in his bedroom, the boy is miraculously unharmed.
NAPLES – There is dismay in Materdei, a neighborhood of Naples where last night, May 19, 2024, a stray bullet landed on the head of a little boy while he was in his bedroom. The ogive, i.e. the front part of the bullet, hit the boy and fortunately the victim did not suffer any damage.
The boy’s father reported the incident. It seems that the boy was in his room on Sunday evening when he heard a loud noise coming from the window. Going to check, he found a metal object on the ground. Only after picking it up did he realize that it was the tip of a bullet.
Worried, the boy showed the nose cone to his father who, in turn, reported the incident to the Carabinieri at the Stella station. The military, who arrived on site, carried out an inspection and confirmed that the bullet actually hit the glass of the boy’s bedroom window.
According to the reconstruction of carabinierithe bullet, after hitting the glass, would have bounced off the boy’s head, and then fortunately fell to the ground without causing him any damage.
