With Official Press Release no. 88 of 15 May 2024, the AIA National Committee resolved the appointment pursuant to art. art.52, paragraph 2 of the AIA regulation, ad Meritorious Referee, five associates of the AIA Section of Crotone: Vincenzo Camposano (Regional Coordinator of Legal Experts), Francesco Livadoti (President of the Crotone Section), Antonio Poleo (Observer at the CON-DIL and president of the ORS of Crotone), Giovanni Scuto (member of the Board of Directors)Mario Venneri (member of the Board of Directors).
Every two years, the National Committee prepares and communicates the criteria for a national ranking for obtaining the qualification of meritorious referee and appoints Meritorious Referees to those members who possess certain requirements, including: the qualification of referee observer; the absence of disciplinary sanctions during the last two sporting seasons, the absence of ongoing disciplinary proceedings, the absence of a final criminal conviction, and also that they have completed 20 years of arbitration seniority and have carried out qualified technical activity and associative such as to achieve the minimum score set in the aforementioned ranking. The deserving referees maintain the specific technical functions of the referee observers, therefore continuing to carry out the qualified technical activity at the Technical Body to which they belong.
To become Meritorious Referees, therefore, the vision and foresight of the Previous Section Presidents was fundamental, who saw a lot in the characteristics and managerial qualities of the New Meritorious Referees and in whom they placed trust and expectations, both of an associative, moral and human nature. ; this is why the achievement of this goal represents the testimony of the commitment that the members make available to all the other Members, starting from the work towards the young boys who are taken by the hand starting from the referee course, to the tutor activities, but also and above all towards the Section in favor of which their skills and professionalism are offered on a voluntary basis.
The appointments for the current sports season were a total of 198 throughout Italy, of which 13 in Calabria and 5 five of them concern Crotone associates, although in reality there should be 6, if we took into account the Associate Saverio Scaravaglione, Crotonese by birth and referee training, but currently associated with the Rome 1 Section, where he lives and works. The President, the Vice Presidents, the Board of Directors and the members congratulated the new Meritorious Referees.
