«The newly established committee of the Santa Lucia neighborhood testifies to the achievement of an unexpected goal, the result of a constructive dialogue initiated with the administration». Thus the Santa Lucia committee, which explains: «Not only the modification by the municipality of Viterbo of an incorrect project on the road network of the neighborhood for the benefit of the livability of the same. Not only the redevelopment of the green park and the construction of a cycle-pedestrian bridge connecting to the Santa Barbara sports centre, but there is more: it happened, in fact, that at the meeting called at the former Trieste cinema on 9 May , we obtained, in a room full of citizens, the spontaneous compact participation of the entire Frontini council, including the mayor and deputy, together with other political authorities, to listen to the report of the councilor Aronne, illustrative of the new structure. Sharing – the Committee explains – which was perceived as a tribute to the constructive approach of the entire Santa Lucia neighborhood represented by the committee of the same name. The committee, for this reason, feels the duty to thank the mayor, the deputy, the councilor Aronne, the councilor Floris and all the council members who intervened for having given concrete proof of closeness to the needs of the citizens. That concreteness that is often complained to governments. The committee also feels the duty to thank councilor Troncarelli and her entire advisory group for the indispensable commitment made for the success of the operation; a commitment particularly appreciated because it was spontaneous and in the interest of the citizens, implemented by overcoming the different position and role in the current Viterbo political scene; testimony of a serious and constructive opposition”.
«The committee feels the civic duty to make the news public so that there remains a trace of the different way of relating to politics and so that there remains a trace of the virtuous behavior implemented by the majority and by part of the opposition with the hope that, for the benefit of the citizens of Viterbo, this experience can be repeated on other fronts in the future”, concludes the Santa Lucia committee.
