The docufilm by Angelos Rallis, best documentary at the Giffoni, returns immediately to Italian cinemas after the success of the screening tour accompanied by the Greek director

The young cinematographic reality The Piranesi Experience presents exclusively for Italy “Afrin nel mondo sommerso”, a docufilm that has moved and excited the public in more than 40 festivals around the world (among others Vancouver, Helsinki, Tallinn, Festival dei Popoli) collecting prestigious awards, such as the Gex Doc for Best Documentary at the last Giffoni Film Festival.

The film tells the story of Afrin, a 12-year-old girl who, after losing her home due to heavy floods in Bangladesh and at the same time escaping an arranged marriage, sets off in search of her father who abandoned her years ago. , arriving all the way to Dhaka, where he will collide with the harsh reality of the metropolis. It is a lively and poignant story, which tears and shakes the soul regarding very current issues such as climate warming, environmental disasters and child migration.

Precisely for these reasons, the film received the prestigious patronage of Amnesty International, Save the Children, WWF, Greenpeace and Legambiente, and the precious distribution support of UCCA/ARCI.

After the success of the launch tour in April, the film will arrive in many Italian cinemas. In Agrigento the appointment is for Tuesday 21 May, 6.00 pm, at the Ciak Multiplex.
