Milan, 20 May. During an afternoon when he was off duty, a policeman recognized a man who had stalked his ex several times near the victim’s home; he called the operations center and had him arrested. It happened last May 14th in Luino, in the province of Varese.

A 54-year-old Romanian national ended up in handcuffs, having been at the center of various incidents of family mistreatment and personal injuries to cohabitants. Facts which, following the complaint presented by the ex-wife, had led to the issuing of an order to remove the family home and to the simultaneous ban on approaching the offended party.

The Varese investigating judge’s order against the 54-year-old had been issued about ten days ago, but already in the days preceding the arrest several attempts by the man to get closer to his family had been reported. Thursday’s arrest, which occurred in flagrante delicto, was validated by the Varese court, which issued a prison custody order against the man for fear of repetition of the crime.
