A unique setting that will host the concert Francis the first minor friar created by Carla Zanin Ensemble San Felice: with music and direction by Federico Bardazzi, the event will be held on Friday 24 May at 9pm in the Cathedral of Florence with the voices of Letizia Dei And Michela Lombardi.
The show is created in collaboration with the Opera di Santa Maria del Fiore and Opera Network and the Horizon Europe Action Marie Curie CAPHE – Communities and Artistic Participation in Hybrid Environments project and will be free to enter.
“We have been studying this program for some time and the appointment at the Florence Cathedral is certainly an important stage in this project which sees us engaged in such a particular and intense programme”, he declared Letizia Dei.
“When maestro Bardazzi, six years ago, proposed this project to me – adds the singer from Versilia Michela Lombardi – I was immediately enthusiastic: in addition to the fascination I have always had for the figure of Saint Francis, the idea of completely rethinking songs born in such disparate contexts seemed like a wonderful challenge, and singing in the Cathedral of Florence will be a great emotion” .
