“A focaccio as it should be” is perhaps the most suitable comment to describe the immense bonfire that lit up the night of May 17th after the weighing andoffering of candles, one of the most evocative events of the historical re-enactment of the Sword Race and Palio of Camerino.
The guests of the Cavalcade of the Assumption of Fermo, present in Camerino for the first time, they paraded with the local participants in perfect harmony, consolidating a collaboration that will bear good fruit for the future.

On the day of the patron saint’s day, 18 May, solemn celebration in the Basilica and in the afternoon a very successful experiment by the Archeoclub Marca di Camerino in Rocca Varano, “where everything started“. In the ancient manor that dominates the valley, history, dances, duels and archery have allowed us to retrace a symbolic journey back in time of the Da Varanos, undisputed protagonists in the history of a vast territory.
