The Cesena Rotary Club financed and organized the project aimed at young people: “Train and believe in yourself”. The project, led by Nicoletta Tozzi member of the Rotary Club Cesena, was addressed to children in the 4th and 5th grades who are about to face important choices for their future (work or studies) and more generally their entry into the adult world.
Nicoletta Tozzi, after working in the company, has been working since 2008 as a trainer and professional coach in the company and in the world of sport, developing training courses on leadership, mental preparation and for a couple of years also courses aimed at teenagers to boost confidence in themselves.
In his youth, Tozzi was part of the Italian national athletics team, winning 9 overall Italian titles in the 800 meters and reaching 3 finals at the Universiade. The objectives of the project were: reflect with the kids on their personal goals, work on the concept of self-confidence and valorization of their talents, transfer to them the concept of work and “training” as a way to achieve any goal, transfer useful techniques to manage emotions and sabotaging thoughts.
The project, in agreement with the Educational Directorate of the Augusto Righi Scientific High School and with that of the Agricultural Institute of Cesena, It was divided into 4 2-hour meetings in each class for a total of 12 meetings.
The topics covered by the project were: how do I understand what my talents are, what goals I set myself to enhance them, how can I feel the confidence necessary to pursue my goals, how do I train to be able to achieve them and develop my own business plan? ‘action. “We guided the kids’ reflection – explained Nicoletta Tozzi – and led them to draft a plan that defines a series of concrete actions aimed at achieving their personal goal. And again, facing challenges and managing stress and emotions: training to manage emotion and fear, managing internal dialogue (the little voice that tells you that you will make it or you won’t make it) and focusing on empowering thoughts ”.
