LThe signing took place on Monday 20th May at Bosco delle Pianelle
Martina will sign the Manifesto of Gentile Cities. It will be the third municipality in Puglia and the 55th in Italy to sign up to the Gentile Italy Movement, promoted by the My Life Design Volunteer Organization, and to the International Kindness Movement.
Appointment Monday 20 May at 10.00 at Bosco delle Pianelle. They will intervene the Mayor Gianfranco Palmisano, the Councilor for Tourism Vincenzo Angelini and Daniel Lumera, naturalist biologist, expert in wellness sciences and founder of the Gentle Italy Movement, of which the International Kindness Movement is the international expression and inspiration of the Kind Tourism project.
In the shade of the centuries-old holm oak, symbol of the Bosco delle Pianelle, some school groups will talk with the representatives of the Movement.
Martina “Città Gentile” expresses her commitment to starting a path aimed at declining kindness in education, tourism, care of the environment and the public spaces of her city. But, at the same time, it is a significant appreciation of the International Kindness Movement towards the actions implemented by the Municipal Administration for the valorization of the hiking routes that wind through woods, centuries-old olive trees, trulli and farms that make the territory of Martina and of the unique and evocative Itria Valley, an ideal destination for sustainable tourism.
The International Kindness Movement appreciated, in particular, the project of the three Martina “Extra Urbem” hiking trails which includes the Tratturi del Bosco, dei Fragni and delle Vigne, created by the Municipality of Martina in collaboration with Cicale di Puglia.
