On Saturday 25 May UNESCO and the Prada Group present an event open to all citizens to discover the sustainable artisans of Venice.

On Saturday 25 May from 10:00 am the walk among the “Atelier Aperti Bleu” of Venice will take place: a journey to discover the artisans and creative people of the city united in their practices by particular attention to sustainability, the valorisation of the territory and to the protection of the sea and the ecosystems of the lagoon.

On this day, organized by Venezia da Vivere, a platform that talks about the cultural fabric of Venice, the Artigiani Bleu will open shops and studios to tell the citizens about themselves and promote the Ocean Literacy World Conference as a preview.

The event, organized by the Prada Group and the UNESCO Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission, will take place at Ca’ Giustinian on 7 and 8 June.

Starting from May 25th and until June 8th, the closing day of the conference, the Artigiani Bleu shop windows will be symbolically united by a fil bleu which represents their commitment to sustainability.

In each space, an industrial spool of ECONYL ® regenerated Nylon, the thread that makes up the Prada Re-Nylon fabric, represents the link between UNESCO-IOC, the Prada Group and the SEA BEYOND educational project, which since 2019 has been supported by the proceeds of the Prada collection Re-Nylon.
