Ternana-Bari: no tickets for those residing in Puglia

This was decided by the prefecture of Terni which issued a ban on the sale of tickets to residents in Puglia. «In this regard – explains the prefecture in a note – the analysis committee for the safety of sporting events, with resolution number 19 of 13 May 2024, highlighted to the provincial public security authority of Terni that, from the examination of the profiles of risk connected to the Ternana-Bari match, there is a real danger of disruption to public order and safety, taking into account the serious events that occurred during the match on 19 March 2023 played in Terni. During this match – the prefecture of Terni recalls – before the start of the match there were disturbances among the fans following the attempt by the fans from Bari to set fire to a banner stolen from the Terni ultras, which also continued at the end of the match in the phases of outflow, in which circumstance some law enforcement workers were also injured. The aforementioned episodes have exacerbated the climate of already strong rivalry between the fans, making it necessary, for subsequent matches, to adopt rigorous measures aimed at prohibiting the presence of visiting fans. Therefore – this is the conclusion – the prefect of Terni Giovanni Bruno, having taken note of the aforementioned considerations expressed by the committee and having consulted the police commissioner, has ordered a ban on the sale of tickets for next Thursday’s match to residents in the Puglia region”.
