A stew to overcome the stomachaches of school, hoping that this too won’t be indigestible. There Province plays the card of spreading inconveniences to deal with the inconveniences resulting from the transfer of students from the complexes affected by the reconstruction and redevelopment works. After the heated controversies of recent days which have seen the leaders take blunt positions of Alberti he was born in Galileo, the meeting held yesterday afternoon in the provincial offices of Largo Carducci marks a partial thaw which, however, will have to be confirmed in definitive documents and commitments in the coming days. The schools also have the opportunity to have their say on the reorganization, but they only have 72 hours to formulate counter-proposals: time for the start – completion of the construction sites is running out, and a new summit is already scheduled for Monday in the Biscardi room of the Province.

THE OPTIONS

There are four scenarios proposed by the manager of the Rocca school building sector Salvatore Minicozzi, together with the number one in the financial sector Nicola Boccalone and the managing director Carmine Agostinellito the school directors of the “Galilei-Vetrone” Giovanni Marro, of the “Alberti” Silvia Vinciguerraand teachers Woods And Sguera representatives of the “Giannone” classical high school, present in place of the director Teresa De Vito. Two, in reality, are the same options already prefigured previously and which were not appreciated by the institutions involved. That is: wholesale relocation of the “Galilei-Vetrone” in the newly built complex built in the Piano Cappelle agricultural area, with the Calandra educational center to be assigned alternatively to Giannone or Alberti. If it were chosen to completely transfer the 36 classrooms of Giannone to Via Calandra, the school which will have to start and complete the works first, Alberti will have to divide its time between the branch in Via dei Mulini and the presidential wing not subject to demolition of Galilei . Hypotheses that had effectively displeased the three institutes in Piazza Risorgimento, who had made no secret of their discontent. Hence the two new options drawn up by the Rocca technicians to try to overcome the stalemate. Scenario 3 envisages that Alberti will occupy the 24 classrooms left free by Galilei’s transfer to Piano Cappelle, as well as the 5 of the branch in via dei Mulini historically frequented by the students of the institute directed by Vinciguerra. The novelty would consist in assigning to Alberti also 6 classrooms in the lower part of the Calandra, in the spaces once occupied by the Unisannio canteen, on which adaptation works will be carried out. The upper part of the Calandra would instead fall to Giannone who would take over the entire 30 classrooms of the former Engineering academic rooms, plus 6 of the canteen part. A solution which, however, would not overcome the difficulties envisaged in recent days by Alberti, who would indeed be further divided into three destinations and then, presumably, take on a new move when the work on Giannone is finished. Balances that would change significantly, however, with scenario number 4 imagined by Rocca. In the latter case, Alberti would go to the upper part of the Calandra teaching center (former Engineering department of Unisannio), which would also occupy the 5 classes of the branch in via dei Mulini. Giannone should instead house two thirds (24 classrooms) in the surviving portion of the Galilei, and the remaining third (12 classrooms) in the lower part of the Calandra (former university canteen).

THE SITUATION

Options that would not change Galilei’s life in any case, forced to move to Piano Cappelle in all four cases. But after the clear denunciation of the last few hours, the institute directed by Giovanni Marro is already working to present a counter-proposal: «We will define it in the next few hours in view of the new table on Monday – explains the manager -. We want to participate in the identification of a solution that can cause as little inconvenience as possible to all schools. But we hope that others will show similar sensitivity and that they will take charge of the number one problem connected to the transfer to Piano Cappelle, that of transport. We believe there may be solutions that meet everyone’s needs. We will formulate it together with our technical teachers. The guiding star, in our opinion, remains the criterion of the duration of the works: the most stable and least problematic solution should be given to the schools that will most likely have to take on two years away from home, namely Galilei and Alberti”.
