The family members arrived at the place where Fuschi lost his life they highlighted the presence of the hole, also bringing into play the mayor Roberto Lagalla. But according to the mayor “according to the first findings carried out by the municipal police, it appears clear that it was a collapse of the asphalt which occurred at the same time or a few moments before the accident occurred”. Lagalla offers “condolences and my closeness and that of the administration to the family”. The mayor also specifies: “No emergency report has been received, in fact, in the last few days by the municipal police command and it is impossible that a pothole of this kind, along the busiest artery of the city, had not been reported, as of the this has already happened due to other potholes in Viale Regione Siciliana, which were then repaired”.

Let’s just say that having got the accounts back on their feet allows us to continue with the works today both during the day and at night. The patching activity is also very intense and continues day after day, but it is not possible to get everywhere at the same time. In recent weeks the roads in the fourth district have been renovated and this will happen in next months also in the others and on the other hand we are moving forward with individual interventions in the neighbourhoods, after a work of mapping the potholes in the city, never carried out before”.
