ADRIATIC SUNRISE. It will be until October 4th Massimiliano Zippi the commander of the local police of Alba Adriatica. With the agreement signed between the Municipality of Alba Adriatica and that of Martinsicuro, Zippi (currently commander of the Martinsicuro local police force) will carry out the same functions in the nearby municipality of Alba with the bypass formula, that is, he will direct the command for a few hours at week. The current owner of the supervisory area, Daniela D’Ambrosio, will be absent for about five months, so the body risked being without the official. The competition for the deputy commander has not yet been concluded so it has not yet been possible to hire the number two of the local police force of Alba. Failing this, the municipal administration led by the mayor Antonietta Casciotti (who kept the delegation of the local police for himself) found the solution thanks to the collaboration of the neighboring mayor Massimo Vagnoni and the availability of Zippi. The bypass service was possible thanks to the agreement signed by the two mayors, which will allow collaboration: part of Zippi’s salary will be paid by the Municipality of Alba. Zippi, who several years ago was commander of the local police of Tortoreto, then of Orte in the province of Viterbo and, finally, of Martinsicuro, will also temporarily be the public safety officer of the local police force of Alba Adriatica.
In the meantime, the Municipality is trying to organize the summer security service by calling seasonal agents into service. There will be five of them. However, by scrolling through the ranking, the local authority did not find the availability of those suitable in the ranking of the previous competition (there were those who refused and those who took up employment elsewhere) so the Municipality – which on other occasions had made the own ranking for other requesting bodies – this time he was forced to knock on the door of the Municipality of Campli, which has a ranking in force and, if he scrolls through and finds no available agents on the Farnese list, he will ask the Municipality of Montesilvano. Following the competition, the Alba Adriatica ranking was approved in 2022 and, less than two years later, it was exhausted because in the meantime those eligible had found work placements. To overcome the difficulty in finding uniformed personnel, Alba wrote to the municipalities of Abruzzo and Ascoli Piceno and Fermo, finding only Campli and the Pescara municipality available.
