New crackdown by the local police against abandoned vehicles in the city. The agents of the Environmental Police unit have, in fact, removed sixteen cars and a motorbike in different areas of the city, from the alleys of the historic center to the neighborhoods to the south, as part of the control activity that continues periodically throughout the territory .
“The attention on this phenomenon, which heavily affects urban decorum, always remains high and sees the administration committed to the front line to free our streets from the clutter of vehicles and carcasses that illegally occupy public land”, comments the Councilor Marinella Giordano.
“We underlined it some time ago and we continue to reiterate it today, citizens must know that abandoning vehicles on the streets of the city is an offense for which we will not hesitate to search for and punish violators, remembering that this is special waste with harmful effects on the environment. I therefore underline the appeal to respect the rules and common spaces, hoping that the interventions of our police can be reduced by leveraging the common sense of citizens”.
