The feedback has been very positive. Between 11am and 5pm (the show started in the early afternoon) a total of around 5340 passengers got off at Trani station, and almost 5000 people left Trani by train after 5.30pm. Furthermore, many of the trains in circulation after 5pm, both towards Foggia and Bari, in Trani were almost completely full with a number of passengers in some cases even exceeding 1100.
“We are faced with important numbers that demonstrate that the people of Puglia and tourists have appreciated the proposal, putting aside the skepticism towards the means of collective public transport – commented the Transport councilor -. This feedback encourages us to move forward and strengthen initiatives of this type. Moreover, the summer season full of public events and demonstrations is starting in every part of our region, and the Department is already negotiating with the railway transport companies for additional extraordinary trains aimed at individual events, starting from awaited international diving competition scheduled for the end of June in Polignano a Mare, so as to make them more attractive because they are easily accessible.”
