International debut for the Gideone Project with Erasmus+

The Gideone Project is proud to announce its participation in the Erasmus+ program, which will be held in Seville from 20 to 26 May

This training course for adults focuses on mental health issues and involves collaboration with INCOMA, a renowned training and research center based in Seville, Spain.

With consolidated experience in the development and coordination of international cooperation projects, INCOMA is a leader in education and training, especially for groups at risk and with difficulty entering the job market, such as young people, women and migrants.

Together with Itaka Training, an organization located in Southern Italy near the splendid Costa degli Dei, accredited for adult mobility since 2021, boasts a consortium of over 8 partners in Calabria, Sicily and Puglia, working on crucial issues such as migration, health mental health, innovation in training, and sustainable rural development.

Erasmus+ allows staff to participate in professional training courses abroad, job shadowing activities and to host international experts for training sessions in the regions involved.

The course in Seville aims to raise awareness of mental health, eliminate prejudices and discover inclusive methods that promote mental and physical well-being. Art and innovative educational practices play a key role in this vision, providing the tools to forge more supportive and informed communities.

Dr. Luigi Pullia, psychologist and poet, will hold a special lesson on art and therapy, an unmissable opportunity to strengthen partnerships and enrich our international perspective in approaching mental health issues.

The Gideone Project is enthusiastic about this opportunity offered by Erasmus+ and hopes that it will pave the way for future experiences of international exchange and collaboration to tackle mental health challenges together.

The Seville course represents only the beginning of this exciting journey. With the expert guidance of Dr. Luigi Pullia, the Gideone Project aims to inspire and train communities that not only understand mental health, but are also actively involved in its improvement.

With the support of Erasmus+, we aspire to:

  • Establish a collaborative network: Create an exchange platform between professionals and international organizations to share best practices and innovations in the field of mental health.
  • Promote research: Support studies and research that explore new frontiers in understanding and treating mental health.
  • Encourage social inclusion: Using art and other creative forms as therapeutic tools to integrate people with mental disorders into society.
  • Develop training methodologies: Design and disseminate training methods that enhance personal and collective experience in overcoming mental barriers.
