CCO Michael Trestl: “Thanks to the collaboration with Air Dolomiti in the wet lease we can minimize the impact of the newly damaged Airbus 320. We are pleased to have found a strong partner within the Lufthansa Group in Air Dolomiti.”

Air Dolomiti will take over the route from Vienna to Venice and vice versa from June to October 2024 as part of a wet lease agreement with Austrian Airlines. In mid-April an A320neo of the Austrian airline was damaged. To compensate for the cancellation of the plane, Air Dolomiti takes over a route from Austrian Airlines.

From 1 June 2024 the Vienna-Venice route will be operated by Air Dolomiti with an Embraer E95. The flight schedule will remain unchanged, with four daily connections between Vienna and Venice. On board, passengers can expect the catering product of Air Dolomiti, considered an ambassador of Italian style and taste in Europe. Both business class and economy class seats are available.

“The collaboration with Air Dolomiti in the wet lease allows us to minimize the impact of the newly damaged Airbus 320. We are pleased to have found a strong partner within the Lufthansa Group in Air Dolomiti,” underlines Michael Trestl, CCO of Austrian Airlines.
