Gio-Care 2024: The Grand Finale of the Perugia Schools for Prevention and Healthy Lifestyle
The primary schools of Perugia are about to face the grand finale of Gio-Care 2024, the event dedicated to promoting health and a healthy lifestyle among students. The Grand Final will be held on Thursday 16 May at the Morlacchi Theater in Perugia at 10:00 am and will feature students from the 4th and 5th classes of the city’s primary schools.
Gio-Care is an educational project that involved students from Perugia on crucial issues such as prevention and the importance of a healthy lifestyle, based on correct nutrition, physical activity and adequate sleep, combining training and fun.
After a rigorous preliminary phase, the schools that will compete for the title of Gio-Care Champion 2024 have been selected. Among these, the “Leone Antolini” Primary School of Ponte Valleceppi, the “Nicholas Green” of Perugia, the “Bruno Ciari” of San Sisto, the “Pestalozzi” of Perugia, the “V. Formica” of Montelaguardia, the Primary School of Villa Pitignano and the “Berardi” Primary School of Colombella.
The finalist classes will have the opportunity to win cash prizes for the first three positions: €750.00 for first place, €500.00 for second place and €250.00 for third place. This contribution will be used to purchase educational materials.
The project is promoted by Fidia Farmaceutici, a world leading company in the research, development, production and marketing of innovative products based on hyaluronic acid and its derivatives.
Maurizio Marrazzo, Head of Marketing Italia Fidia, and Valentina Baciucco, Senior Product Manager Fidia, will be present at the final event at the Morlacchi Theater, who will join the students to celebrate the importance of prevention and correct lifestyles.
The Dr. Michele Mencacci, free-choice pediatrician from Perugia, together with Alvin Crescini of Peaktime, guided the children through the key concepts of the project, offering valuable guidance on health and well-being.
