Five years after the first, historic edition of 2019, which saw the participation of 25,000 people in Modena, land of food and motors but also of “best practices in human rights associations, the second event will be held on Saturday 25 May 2024 Pride of the city’s history.

Organized by Arcigay Modena “Matthew Shepard”, in partnership with AGEDO Bologna per l’Emilia and KELLER, Modena Pride 2024 will be a real city celebration with a program that starts from the Enzo Ferrari park, the city’s green lung.

The parade, the market and the food: here is the program
The program, which can be consulted on the dedicated page of the official Modena Pride 2024 website, includes two key moments. The parade starting at 2.30 pm from the Modena Pride Park (Parco Ferrari on the Via Emilia Ovest side), a political march of pride accessible for visibility, well-being, equal opportunities and greater rights of the LGBTQIA+ community, with a total length of 4 km and lasting approximately 3 hours, which will take place along the streets of the historic center of Modena, with a return scheduled for 5.30 pm to the Ferrari park (the initial meeting is from 1.00 pm). Followed by a closing socio-cultural festival, scheduled to begin at around 6.00 pm, at Modena Pride Park, with interventions by high-level LGBTQIA+ rights activists, artivism and DJ sets by queer artists from the local LGBTQIA+ sphere and international, info-desk of partners, sponsors and allied non-profit organisations, an artisan market featuring artisans who are friends of the area, food & beverage.
At the Modena Pride Park, on-site catering will be available before and after the city march with the presence of food trucks and stands for the administration of drinks by KELLER, from 1.00 pm to 12.00 am non-stop; Modena Pride 2024 info-point and Merchandise desk; info-desk of promoting bodies, Arcigay Modena “Matthew Shepard” and AGEDO Bologna per l’Emilia, of supporting bodies and allied non-profit organisations; but also a craft market to promote innovative local artisan businesses, a health stand where free HIV, syphilis and hepatitis testing sessions will take place and a children’s area organized by UISP Modena.
