ROVIGO – Meeting at the Palace Hotel in Rovigo for the group of councilor candidates from the two lists in support of Antonio Rossini’s candidacy for mayor.
The provincial coordinator of Noi Moderati for Rovigo, as well as the head of the “Alliance of Moderates” list, Adino Rossi, opened the proceedings.who immediately began by saying that Antonio Rossini is “the most prepared candidate ever that we could express for the city, also given his long administrative experience in nine years as a city councilor serving the citizens”.
Rossini, in addition to thanking the candidates for their massive presence and the commitment of each of them in this important adventure, immediately illustrated his electoral program designed specifically for the city of Rovigo.
Priority to proposals for construction and urban planning, fundamental issues for the future of the city. Rossini underlined the importance of relaunch of policies for the historic centre, proposing an approach that involves the increase in pedestrian areas and the creation of new car parks at a subsidized ratein order to facilitate those who stop for several hours in the city.
These car parks, according to the mayoral candidate, must be connected to local public transport. To make Rovigo clean and tidy, targeted interventions of arrangement and redevelopment of the hamlets and open spaces are necessary, from green areas to historic squares, with high technical profile projects and selections from idea competitions.
“It is essential to make our city more beautiful and pleasant – declared Rossini -. To do this, we must adopt measures that promote the relaunch of quality construction at affordable prices. Urban planning must be implemented with adequate human resources and legal-administrative acts aimed at overcoming critical issues and identifying effective solutions”.
Rossini reiterated the need to put an end to compromises on traffic, also highlighting the importance of the equalization institute as an innovative tool to guarantee a fair distribution of building rights, in compliance with the principles of administrative transparency.
“Equalization must be regulated with clear and rigorous criteria – concludes Rossini -, in order to avoid incorrect interpretations and guarantee fair and transparent management of the territory”.

He then underlined the fact that citizens are wrong if they think that by not going to vote they spite someone because “in doing so you do nothing but reconfirm the usual suspects of Rovigo politics who for years have most likely very superficially mismanaged our city“.
