Novara – The State Police of Novara, on the morning of Monday May, during the course of services aimed at combating the phenomenon of drug dealing, arrested a 70-year-old Italian citizen resident in Novara in flagrante delicto, for detention for the purposes of of cocaine dealing, pursuant to art. 73 c. 1 bis Presidential Decree 309/90.
The aforementioned man, who had multiple criminal convictions, was subjected to a personal and home search from his home. The act made it possible to find the narcotic substance, already divided into 19 doses, enclosed in small tinfoil containers as well as material for “cutting” the narcotic substance and two precision scales. In addition to the aforementioned material, around 24,000 Euros in cash were found in the subject’s possession, presumably linked to the drug dealing activity.
The narcotic substance found, analyzed at the local Provincial Scientific Police Office, was found to be cocaine with a total gross weight of 8.4 grams.
At the end of the ritual acts the person was associated with the local prison at the disposal of the Judicial Authority.
