Joint statement by the councilors Marco Donati and Valentina Sileno of Scelgo Arezzo and Alessandro Meucci coordinator of the Civic List of the Hamlets – With Arezzo
“Thanks to the CittadinanzaAttiva survey, national data relating to the costs of primary and nursery school canteens have emerged: Arezzo is the fourth most expensive in Tuscany with a cost of 95 euros per month for nursery school and the second most expensive in Tuscany 102 for primary schools.
It also emerges that the national average is around 10 euros lower per month than the cost of Arezzo canteens with a figure of around 85 euros. We believe that the issue of childcare services is central for the city, and we have often tried to push the Ghinelli administration to do more and better. Evidently the council and the majority that support it are fine with this.
Furthermore, in recent years a debate has arisen in the city which has involved many parents, including some canteen managers from the various school districts, to ask for more attention with regards to menus and meal portions, which are often insufficient. We believe that the Ghinelli Council must pay much more attention to these issues and, if necessary, adopt the good practices of other Municipalities”.
