Sbarra, the south restarts from infrastructure investments

‘Bridge over the Strait, a great strategic work for growth and development’

“The South must face the major priorities determined by the investments to be made in the transport system.

This is why we say that we need to accelerate the investments of the Pnrr and the structural funds, therefore it is necessary to invest in roads, motorways, railways, high-speed trains, ports and intermodal logistics.

In this sense we think that a large strategic work such as the Strait Bridge can represent a further additional element capable of determining growth and development processes”.

Luigi Sbarra, general secretary of the CISL, said this, speaking to journalists in Maierato (Vibo Valentia) on the sidelines of the general council of the CISL Magna Grecia.

“We don’t need cathedrals in the desert – added Sbarra – but we need to make the infrastructural works complementary.

The Bridge is needed and other investments are also needed. This is why we think we need to speed up and stop raising ideological flags. The South restarts and connects to the rest of the country if it invests in infrastructure, if it invests in schools, in healthcare, in human capital.

Today we have this formidable opportunity before us with the Pnrr and I would also like to add with the single SEZ which can represent an extraordinary opportunity to raise the conditions of attractiveness of investments in the South”.
