An opportunity to exchange case histories, experiences and knowledge necessary to improve one’s work and the surrounding fabric, be it productive or territorial. With the spotlight also pointed towards new research frontiers, such as space. Tomorrow is the second and last day of the event dedicated to sustainable innovation in the built environment, organized by Riva del Garda Fierecongressi and in its tenth edition.

REbuild opened this morning, opening the doors to the future of the real estate system. A future full of challenges and which requires profound renewals along the entire supply chain. “Making REbuild, since the first edition, an opportunity for high-level discussion for those working in the sector: this has always been our objective – stated Roberto Pellegrini, President of Riva del Garda Fierecongressi, at the opening.
“Values drive Value”, value generates value: this is the theme of the event dedicated to sustainable innovation in the built environment, organized by Riva del Garda Fierecongressi, this year in its tenth edition. A new opportunity to exchange case histories, experiences and knowledge necessary to improve one’s work and the surrounding fabric, be it productive or territorial, which brought to Riva del Garda over 60 speakers of international importance and a rich program that brings into play a solid system of values.

The councilor for policies for housing, heritage, state property and promotion of knowledge of the Autonomy of the Autonomous Province of Trento Simone Marchiori underlined the importance of initiatives aimed at promoting sustainability and an environmentally friendly development model. “Urban regeneration and redevelopment represent an important challenge for Trentino too. Addressing these issues by placing not only economic interests but also the human factor at the center can really lead to concrete solutions that respond to the needs of society as a whole, achieving the true objective of politics”. The mayor of Riva del Garda, Cristina Santi, expressed great pride on behalf of the entire city. “REbuild is not simply a meeting between people who write down ideas, but also an opportunity to outline our future. Being part of this growth for our city is important and significant, and we will continue to support the project.”

Augusto dell’Erba, President of Federcasse – Italian Federation of Cooperative Credit Banks/Rural Banks, representing Gruppo Cassa Centrale and Cassa Rurale AltoGarda – Rovereto, spoke to underline the contribution of the credit system to companies in the sector, and how ESG criteria are becoming important in this perspective. “The common thread of these two days is how to generate value for the entire community, identifying development activities and technological innovation to be implemented in the construction sector,” said Alessandra Albarelli, General Director of Riva del Garda Fierecongressi.

Ezio Micelli, President of the Scientific Committee of REbuild and professor at the Iuav University of Venice, taking up the title of the edition ‘Values that generate value’, underlined the big key words on the agenda at REbuild, stating “that decarbonisation, sustainability and circular economy must not just be a slogan but also an opportunity to increase the wealth of businesses and families”.
Conferences, collaborative workshops and networking activities will continue tomorrow, involving the entire construction chain, which is strategic for the Italian economy. A sector destined to profoundly change its characteristics, because it is called to face an epochal challenge that requires a convinced and shared convergence towards the concepts of sustainability, innovation and digitalisation and a clear attention paid to social issues. “Our exploration will even lead us to compare ourselves with those who design, build and manage infrastructures in space: an environment that arouses great emotions, which is intrinsically linked to the concept of innovation, and which is synonymous par excellence with the future”, states Laura Risatti, REbuild Project Leader.
