LATINA – “Latina, the state of the coast: diagnosis and prospects” is the title of a public meeting organized by the Circolo Arcobaleno Pontino of Legambiente for Sunday 19 May from 10.00 to 12.30 in Vasco De Gama Park in via Pantelleria in Latina Lido.
The idea is to give – they explain from Legambiente – a scientific contribution in the analysis and in-depth analysis of the situation of a coast with a development of 132 km of which 14 only in the municipality of Latina (data source: the website of the Municipality of Latina) . The state of eco-environmental criticality reached on the coast of the capital has been at alert levels for some time. The news, which is easy to see, shows us increasingly large stretches of coast in the process of “extinction”, which make it difficult for citizens and economic operators to use it. The causes of this situation are multiple, and see the climate emergency as a determining factor of impressive relevance. Yet, faced with this scenario (proven dangerous and serious), interventions continue to be proposed that have the characteristic of being provisional and partial.
The speakers, professionals who have long been studying the phenomenon to find useful and long-term solutions, are: .
– Andrea Minutolo (Geologist, President of the National Scientific Committee of Legambiente)
– Alberto Budoni (Professor of Technical and Urban Planning at La Sapienza University)
– Sergio Cappucci (First ENEA Researcher)
– Cristiana Avenali (Responsible for the National River Contracts Table of the Lazio Region)
– Roberto Scacchi (President of Legambiente Lazio).
The meeting will be introduced by the President of the Circolo Arcobaleno Pontino Legambiente aps the lawyer. Angela Verrengia.
An important space of the meeting will be reserved for questions: “A discussion between the speakers and the participants who want to ask questions to understand more carefully the situation posed as the theme of the meeting”.
