CARPI, MIRANDOLA – The cultural table for the Patron Saint of the City and Diocese of Carpi has developed, like last year, a program in the name of synodal sharing. From this perspective, the traditional celebration of the Patron Saint of the City and Diocese of Carpi will start in a few days, connecting to another important anniversary of the Diocese.
May 16th is the feast of San Poxidenio, patron saint of Mirandola and San Poxidenio, and a few days later, on May 20th, it is San Bernardino da Siena, patron saint of Carpi and the entire Diocese. The program events will start from Mirandola.
Wednesday 15 May, 9pm – Mirandola, Piazza della Conciliazione
“The positive energy of change”, meeting with Adriano Sella
As part of the program of the 220th Mirandola Fair and on the occasion of the Feast of the Patron Saint San Pordinenio, on Wednesday 15 May, at 9pm, at the stage in Piazza della Conciliazione (Piazza del Duomo), Adriano Sella will present his book positive of the change. The meeting is organized by the Bottega Qui Equo APS, in collaboration with the Parish of Mirandola and the Volunteer Service Center of Ferrara and Modena Terre Estensi.
Adriano Sella defines himself as a “lay missionary of creation”, he is a writer and lecturer. He was a missionary in Brazil, where he coordinated the Justice and Peace Commission and the Social Pastorals of the Episcopal Conference of the Northern Region of Brazil. From Padua he coordinates the Interdiocesan Network New Lifestyles of which the Diocese of Carpi is also part. Sella will accompany those present in a reflection on how it is possible to implement change with “integral ecology” as the objective.

Holy Mass in honor of the Patron Saint presided over by Bishop Erio Castellucci
On Thursday 16 May, liturgical memorial of the Patron Saint of Mirandola San Paiutonio, Bishop Erio Castellucci will preside over the Holy Mass at 6.30 pm in the Cathedral. The civil authorities and representatives of the various city realities will be present.
